Migrating waterfowl can really stack up in a field when not disturbed. I took this photo of a field full of Canada Geese the last day we had hunters a few years ago. My first thought was "I would sure have loved to have the guys set up in this field for their final Saskatchewan waterfowl hunt of the week." When there are so many birds around you would think that scouting a shoot would be easy, but birds get erratic with a weather change, as was the case on this day. A few days after this this weather turned colder, the shallow water froze up and the Saskatchewan duck hunting and goose hunting was pretty much wrapped up for everyone in this part of Saskatchewan. Good thing Sandra and I also enjoy white-tail deer hunting!
