Each Saskatchewan goose hunter seems to favor a particular design and even though layout blinds all restrict shooting angles they are currently the best option for hunting Canada Geese most of the time where we hunt. This photo was taken of Doc Woody who handled his Canada Goose hunting opportunities well from within a layout blind despite being in his late 60's. Tiger Hills Outfitting has 3 different styles that we use for Canada Goose hunts. When we set up for snow geese we may use layout blinds, natural cover with stand-up blinds, or chairs while dressed in white. I prefer a Powerhunter when calling as it allows me to swing my head around freely without fear of birds sensing motion. Early in the season, when cover is suitable, and sometimes when older hunters are mobility challenged we do use larger naturally camouflaged blinds that allow hunters to use a stool.
